Liverpool hit Watford for six with a dazzling display, winning 6-1 and moving a point clear of Chelsea.
But the Reds manager maintained that they had not talked about the going top before yesterday’s match and one good result did not mean they will start talking about titles now.
”If somebody thinks being one point ahead after 11 match days is a big sign for the rest of the season then I can’t help this person,“ he said.
”We stay cool. It’s the best position I can imagine but nothing else happened.
”We knew that Arsenal drew against Tottenham but we didn’t speak one word about the possibility of being top of the table. The only thing you can do is work and stay concentrated.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was delighted as Watford were put to the sword
”A lot of different things could happen in the next few weeks and months, how positive they are is up to us.
"But there is no pressure after 11 match days, absolutely no pressure.“
Watford manager Walter Mazarri was in no doubt that Liverpool were the best side his outfit have faced this season - a roster which includes Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
”From the teams that we have played against. there is no doubt this is the team I am most impressed with,“ he said.
”If they continue like this they are No 1 in my list for winning the Premier League.“
Liverpool are two points clear of Man City as three of the teams at the top involved in the Champions League could only draw. But Klopp admitted there are dangers everywhere.
”We saw Chelsea yesterday, quite impressive, City playing Barcelona, quite impressive. Man United never write them off, Tottenham good side. Have I missed any off?
”There’s a lot of really good teams around. When I came here I asked for time and patience and belief and after 11 match days everyone’s asking for guarantees and they are not there.
”The only thing we have is a pretty good __football team.“
“I’m really happy but thrilled? For that I need to have a little bit more. It was a good performance against a difficult opponent who have three clean sheets, not lucky clean sheets, in the last few games.
