West Ham managed to hold on to their talisman during the summer after a breakthrough season last year.
The France international scored 12 goals for the Hammers last season to help West Ham finish seventh - their highest finish in the Premier League since 2002.
Payet was rewarded back in February with a lucrative five-and-a-half year contract back in February but that didn't stop rumours of clubs showing interest in the summer.
Dimitri Payet is considering his options after West Ham's poor start to the season
And with West Ham currently in 16th place with no European __football on the horizon Payet may well look elsewhere to try and play at the highest level.
The 29-year-old appeared on French __football programme Telefoot and was asked whether he has thought about his plans for the future.
"We've had a very poor start. Leave in January? I'm asking other questions right now but I've closed the door to nothing," said Payet.
"Until now, I always chose my clubs depending on the sports project. I work like that. Until I can play at a level like this, it will be the case.
"Go to PSG or Marseille? For now, they have not come to me, so I do not ask myself."
