Juan Mata admits he is angry after Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with Stoke yesterday.
He said: “As I’m writing this I’m feeling angry because the team played really well but we didn’t win.
“We drew against Stoke, as you know, and I feel that we were very close to get the third win in eight days.
“It was a pity, that’s the truth. My perception from the pitch was that we were playing a good game, creating chances, passing the ball effectively, but we couldn’t complete our job.
“We have to take the positive aspects and know that if we keep playing like this, we will definitely get good results.”
Manchester United have written a letter to the Armenian __football Federation asking for Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be released from their squad with injury.
Mkhitaryan has not played for the Red Devils since their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City last month.
And club doctor Steve McNally wrote to the Armenian FA telling them 27-year-old was still not fit.
He said: "Henrikh is still undergoing late stage rehabilitation from the left thigh muscle injury that he sustained earlier this month whilst playing for Manchester United.
"Although his progress has been good over the past week, he is participating in limited aspects of team training and is not yet able to train fully without restrictions or play competitively.
"In view of that I would be grateful if he could be allowed to withdraw from the National Team for the forthcoming training camp and FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches in order to remain in Manchester to complete his rehabilitation."
Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo
Manchester United are reportedly interested in Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo.
According to the Daily Mail, club scouts watched the 21-year-old last night as the Portuguese side beat Feirense 4-0.
The newspaper claim Grimaldo, who’s been linked with Manchester City, has a £51million buy-out clause in his contract.
