Celtic maintained a four-point lead at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership after a 2-0 win at home to Motherwell.

Scott Sinclair scored his seventh league goal of the season, firing home in the 18th minute after good work by James Forrest down the right.

Moussa Dembele then bagged his sixth league goal this term with a 87th-minute penalty after being fouled by Craig Samson.

Aberdeen moved clear in second place, having been caught on 15 points by Rangers on Friday evening, with a 4-0 win over 10-man Ross County.

Jonny Hayes gave Aberdeen a 20th-minute lead with a superb shot and soon after Tim Chow was sent off for a two-footed challenge on Hayes.

Shaleum Logan doubled the advantage on 32 minutes, following up from close range after Graeme Shinnie's shot was saved.

Niall McGinn finished well in the 68th minute to put the result beyond doubt and Jayden Stockley shot home off the right post in the 78th minute to wrap it up.

Hearts moved back into third with a 2-0 victory at home to Dundee.

A 68th-minute header by Callum Paterson from Robbie Muirhead's sweet cross put Hearts in front and Bjorn Johnsen crashed a second home in the 89th minute to make the game safe.

Partick moved off the bottom with a 2-2 draw at home to Hamilton.

Massimo Donati's 14th-minute header from a corner put Hamilton in front but eight minutes later Ryan Edwards equalised after Chris Erskine crossed from the right.

A third header, this time from Liam Lindsay two minutes before half-time, moved Partick ahead but Eamonn Brophy found the bottom-right corner with seven minutes to go.

Kilmarnock moved out of the relegation places with a 1-0 success at St Johnstone, Scott Boyd nodding in Jordan Jones' corner in the 76th minute.
