Mourinho will visit his former employers tomorrow (4pm), the first time he has gone back to Stamford Bridge since he was sacked by Roman Abramovich last December.
Obi Mikel has spent the past 10 years with the Blues and enjoyed success under Mourinho.
While some fans may not given Mourinho a rapturous reception before kick-off, the Nigerian midfielder has suggested otherwise.
“I am sure the fans will react very positively to him,” Mikel told the London Evening Standard.

“He is a legend of the club, he won a lot for Chelsea and I am sure they will give him applause before the game.
“Once the match starts, everything changes. We need the fans to get behind Chelsea and the players.”
Mourinho, however, claimed he wouldn’t mind if he was jeered by the home supporters.
“To say I care [about the reaction] is not true,” he said.
“To be honest, when I go to a __football match I am not focused on that. I am more focused on the game.
“I try to prepare myself for the match, so I cannot say that I care.
“What can I expect? I don’t know. They can think about me and remember our great relationship and have a good reaction.
“They can look at me and say, ‘for 90 minutes he is Manchester United manager and he is playing against us, so he is not someone we like at this moment.”
United can leapfrog Chelsea into fourth spot in the Premier League table with a win.
