Arsenal into 5/1 for title

Arsenal were cut to 5/1 for the Premier League by Sky Bet on Saturday as Manchester City drifted out to odds-against.

Premier League

Arsenal were moved into 5/1 for the Premier League title by Sky Bet after making up further ground on their key rivals.

While both Manchester City and Tottenham were held to draws, the Gunners saw off Swansea 3-2 despite being reduced to 10 men following a red card for Granit Xhaka. Theo Walcott scored twice and Mesut Ozil once in a game the hosts led for 74 of the 90 minutes.

City are back at odds-against after a 1-1 draw with Everton at the Etihad Stadium, two missed penalties proving costly. In the end they needed a Nolito equaliser to earn a point but they are only now ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.

Spurs are a point behind the front two after a 1-1 draw at West Brom but it could have been worse were it not for Dele Alli's 89th-minute equaliser. Mauricio Pochettino's men were duly pushed out to 10/1 and a worrying knee injury for Toby Alderweireld will also be a concern to their backers.

Those results also saw Liverpool clipped into 7/2 - they do not play until Monday night when they host Manchester United (14/1). Chelsea, 3-0 winners against champions Leicester, were moved into 12/1.

West Ham were eased to 6/1 for relegation after a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace lifted them out of the bottom three. Hull and Sunderland are both 8/13 for the drop after damaging defeats at Bournemouth and Stoke respectively, while Burnley are also odds-on at 4/7 ahead of their trip to Southampton on Sunday.

Sky Bet EFL

Bradford lost their unbeaten record to Oxford, going down 1-0 to an injury-time goal, and are no longer favourites for the League One title - out to 7/2 from 3/1 with league's sponsors. Scunthorpe are now four points clear at the top and are 3/1 favourites, while Sheffield United move into 9/2 after an impressive 4-0 victory over Port Vale. Rochdale have now won six on the bounce and have climbed from rock bottom to fourth. They are 28/1 for the title and 15/2 for promotion.

Coventry remain rooted to the bottom of the table after a 3-0 defeat at Charlton. The Sky Blues are now 5/4 to be relegated. Shrewsbury are favourites for the drop at 8/13 after they went down 3-2 at Walsall.

At the top of League Two, it was an ideal day for Doncaster, who picked up a 1-0 home win over Colchester while their closest title rivals Plymouth and Portsmouth drew 2-2. Carlisle also kept well in touch with a battling win over Hartlepool and are now the only unbeaten team in the English leagues. 5/2 before today, Doncaster are now 2/1 title favourites. Portsmouth are 7/2 with Plymouth and Carlisle both at 4/1.

At the other end of the table newly-appointed Newport manager Graham Westley was unable to make an immediate impact on results with County beaten at fellow strugglers Yeovil. The Exiles are five points adrift at the bottom of the EFL and were clipped from 2/1 to 15/8 in the relegation betting.

Super 6

A glut of goals - particularly at Bournemouth - meant the Soccer Saturday Super 6 game was not won.

Only one entrant in the free-to-play scores prediction game correctly picked Bournemouth to beat Hull 6-1 but their other scores were not good enough to land the £250,000 jackpot.

Eleven players will share the £5,000 consolation prize having correctly predicted four exact scores and two correct results as well as picking the fifth minute for the 'golden goal' tie-breaker.

Soccer Saturday Price Boost

Backers of Sky Bet's Soccer Saturday Price Boost missed out as both Manchester City and Spurs failed to win. The duo had been in a treble with Arsenal, who beat Swansea 3-2, in the bet but City were held 1-1 at home by Everton, while Spurs could only draw at West Brom, that game also finishing 1-1.

The firm will offer another enhanced bet for the midweek Champions League action - the Soccer Special Price Boost will be available on Monday evening.

It was a similar story for our acca with only Bolton winning from our selected quartet, Northampton, Plymouth and Brighton failing to deliver.
