Chelsea's assistant first-team coach Steve Holland will join caretaker England manager Gareth Southgate's backroom team, the __football Association has confirmed.
Holland, who was assistant to Southgate for England Under-21s for the past three years, replaces Craig Shakespeare in the set-up for the international fixtures in October and November.
Shakespeare, the Leicester assistant manager, had agreed to leave the national scene but assistant Sammy Lee and goalkeeper coach Martyn Margetson will remain part of their plans.
Leicester confirmed in a statement: "Leicester City assistant manager Craig Shakespeare has agreed to reduce his responsibilities with the Football Association following the recent management restructure around the England team.
"In a decision reached mutually following discussions with the FA's senior management, Craig will not be part of interim manager Gareth Southgate's coaching staff but will maintain a close relationship with the FA with a view to potentially contributing to the England setup in future."
FA technical director Dan Ashworth said: "We really appreciate Craig's contribution with the England team and would like to thank him for his hard work with us.
"Craig is an outstanding coach and would be welcome back in the England set-up at any time."
Southgate, who will name his first squad for the games against Malta and Slovenia on Sunday night, said: "Steve is somebody who I have become close with in terms of the trust we have and we know each other's ways of working on and off the pitch.
"The fact I'm bringing Steve with me and retaining Sammy means Craig's role with England would change so we've agreed for him to solely concentrate on Leicester's commitments for the time being.
"I'm pleased Sammy and Martyn will be staying on with us as part of the support team. They both bring huge personal qualities and experience of international football."
