Back Belarus and Bosnia

Nick Hext goes for Belarus and Bosnia-Herzegovina in a win double as the best bet for Monday's World Cup qualifiers.

Bosnia-Herzegovina: Part of a win double with Belarus

4pts double Belarus and Bosnia-Herzegovina both to win

I'm going to keep things simple for Monday's World Cup qualifying preview and go for the inviting Belarus and Bosnia-Herzegovina in a win double.

Switzerland (away at Andorra), Portugal (away at the Faroe Islands) and Belgium (away at Gibraltar) are all shorter prices than my selected duo on Monday's coupon but they don't give you much extra in any acca because they are all such heavy favourites.

Greece and Bulgaria are the other two nations on offer at odds-on to win on Monday but I'm doubtful about both teams at the prices available when they take on Estonia and Bulgaria respectively.

It is instead fellow odds-on duo Belarus and Bosnia-Herzegovina both to win at combined odds not far short of 4/5 at the best available price that merits a chunky stake.

Belarus have home advantage against Luxembourg and I have no doubt that they will get the job done for a first win of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Belarussians drew 0-0 at home to Euro 2016 finalists France in their opening qualification contest last month and the record of Alyaksandr Khatskevich's men on their own turf deserves respect.

Belarus have only lost one of their last six home games, a 1-0 defeat to Spain in the summer of 2015, and they've only been beaten in two of their previous 10 outings overall.

Luxembourg were defeated 2-0 in Minsk at the start of that run and I expect a similar outcome in Monday evening's repeat of that contest.

There's no value in just backing Belarus so that leads me to Bosnia-Herzegovina as they enjoy home advantage against Cyprus.

Bosnia were well beaten in Belgium on Monday night but there has been a real disparity between the home and away form of Mehmed Bazdarevic's men for some time.

It has been seven matches since Bosnia's last home defeat and they took care of Estonia with an impressive 5-0 win last month at the Bilino Polje Stadium.

Cyprus have opened World Cup qualifying with defeats against Belgium and Greece so we can already count them out in the race to reach Russia.

It has been seven defeats in their last eight games for Cyprus and it's hard to see an upturn in fortunes coming from Monday's trip to Bosnia.

Belarus and Bosnia both rate solid shots for victory on Monday and the win double provides me with odds of interest.
