Klopp revealed he addressed his players as a group, and spoke privately to Sakho, following the defender’s rant on social media last weekend.
Sakho claimed Liverpool were telling “lies” over his fitness in a 3am post on Snapchat ahead of Liverpool’s win over Hull City last Saturday which infuriated Klopp, who places great stock in his players’ adopting a team-first ethos.
The episode allowed Klopp to re-emphasis the boundaries which he expects to be adhered to and when asked if Sakho now had to work hard and keep his head down, he said: “Those two things, they are not a rule for Mamadou Sakho. It is a rule for every player. Work hard and do your best.
“I spoke to the team and I spoke to Mama. We spoke together and that’s it. From my side everything is done and now we can carry on.
“There is nothing else to say.”
Sakho played his first game a Liverpool side since April when he appeared for the U23s in their Premier League International Cup game with Wolfsburg on Wednesday.
The France defender, who was accused of failing a drug’s test last season and then cleared of any wrong-doing, is now in line to face Ipswich for the U23s in the Premier League Cup on Sunday.
Klopp refused to comment when asked if Sakho was back training with the first team.
Meanwhile, Divock Origi is a doubt for Saturday’s lunchtime trip to Swansea with a foot injury.
