Graeme Souness has predicted great things for Spurs midfielder Dele Alli after his two-goal haul helped beat Chelsea

The sky is the limit for Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli after his two goals helped end Chelsea's 13-game winning run in the Premier League, according to Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness.

Alli scored a league double for the third game in a row at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night, meaning the 20-year-old now has an impressive 10 goals in just 19 matches in all competitions so far this season.

Both of the England international's goals against the Blues came from headers after well-timed runs into the box, a part of his game that caught the eye of former Liverpool and Scotland midfielder Souness.

"The boy has got everything," he said. "He is 20 years-old and what he does is he will run forward without the ball - teams do not like to play against that - he makes the late runs and he got two goals like that tonight.

"He has got the athleticism to do that from the first minute to the last and every time I watch this boy play, we end up talking like this about him.

"The sky is the limit for him and as long as he wants to continue to learn, as long as he has the right people around him giving him the right information, he is destined to be a superstar."

Another trait of Alli's which Souness believes makes him a world-class player is the extra bite and determination he has in his game.

"He has got an edge to him as well, and as long as that is kept under control," he said. "All the top men had that you know, they will look at you a certain way and you will know there is something there more than most players.

"And he has got that and as well as having all the God-given talents - athleticism and technique - he will learn the game."

However, Souness has also warned that there is still more to come from Alli, who has already scored a remarkable 20 Premier League goals in only 52 matches since making his Spurs debut at the start of last season.

"At 20, you hardly understand what the game is about, but he has already grasped a large part of that and he should only get better and better," he said.
