The French striker has enjoyed a prolific couple of days, netting twice for Arsenal.

Giroud's acrobatic strike at home to Crystal Palace helped the Gunners to a 2-0 win, while his 92nd-minute header at the Vitality Stadium earned his side a point.

Arsene Wenger's team were three behind at one stage against Bournemouth, with their title challenge having taken another setback.

And while Giroud was happy to have scored in successive matches, he was also left frustrated with Arsenal's failure to pick up three points.

"A goal is a goal," Giroud said on whether his goal feels as significant as the scorpion kick.

"The scorpion goal was a good goal, and I’m pleased to have scored the equaliser today, but I’m still disappointed.

"It’s nice to be back in the game, but the way we played at the end against 10 men made me think that we should have done better.

Giroud has forced his way back into Wenger's starting XI of late, with Alexis Sanchez shifting back out to left-wing.

And the 30-year-old France international could start up top again in Saturday's FA Cup third round clash at Championship outfit Preston.
