Sheffield United News Capital One Cup: Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough can't wait to play Tottenham at Bramall Lane

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough cannot wait to go back to Bramall Lane for the Capital One Cup semi-final, second leg against Tottenham despite the 1-0 defeat at White Hart Lane.

Spurs 1 Sheff Utd 0: Highlights

Clough is relishing playing in front of 25,000 home fans in South Yorkshire after the travelling Blades fans made plenty of noise in north London, and feels his side are still right in the tie.

"We're in it and you heard what the noise 4,000 Sheffield United fans were making tonight, so when there's 25,000 in there next week it's going to be special," he said.

"We're going to give it everything we can."

Campbell-Ryce remains upbeat

Clough could not hide his disappointment though at leaving Spurs a goal down, and felt his side were good to come away with a draw.

"I'm disappointed at the one-goal deficit, I thought we were on for a nil-nil.

"I thought first half we were good and caused problems, but I'm disappointed with the way we started the second.

"But we got better as the game went on, and it's difficult to have that sort of belief when you come here that you can get a goal, we thought we could tonight."

The two sides meet again in the second leg at Bramall Lane on Wednesday, January 28.
